Hello all!

Yesterday my youtube feed was full of shorts and reaction videos of people from around the globe reacting to the US: our cuisine, culture, weather, and the scale of this country. Most of these were titled: “We have been lied to about the US.” 

These videos highlighted how real, human connection expands perception in the best way possible! Mark Twain once wrote: “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on those accounts.” 

Watching these videos of people from around the world react to us has filled me with joyous laughter and hope for the future! Also, the world cup is such a huge event!

It would seem the effects of bigotry the internet and news media is starting to just….melt with this event.
